New Foundations Facilitator
While simultaneously tutoring students labeled LD, and working on her degree in Elementary Ed., Barbara's time and attention was diverted when her son's difficulties in school led her to the discovery of the Davis Dyslexia Correction® of correction. Witnessing her son's amazing turnaround - after his completion of the program - Barbara altered her career goals and completed the Davis Facilitator Training in 1999.
As a licensed Davis Dyslexia Correction® Facilitator, Barbara (owner of New Foundations for Dyslexia) currently offers assessments and programs out of her office located in Carson City, Nevada. She provides facilitation for both children and adults with dyslexia as well as many other types of learning disabilities.
Barbara and her family have been residents of the Carson Valley in Northern Nevada since 1991. Barbara's husband of 23 years, Richard, is the director of a Nevada State agency. Currently, her daughter Lauren (21 years old) is in her third year of college at Sonoma State University; and her son Patrick (19 years old) is a proud member of the U.S. Navy holding the position of Sonar Technician, SA.
